Please read these terms carefully before using Therapist Search. By using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About Therapist Search

Therapist Search is an online directory that connects clients with independent counsellors and therapists. We are not a counselling service. We do not provide therapy, psychological advice, or clinical treatment. We are not responsible for the conduct of counsellors listed on the platform.

2. Use of the website

You may use Therapist Search to search for counsellors, view profiles, and make contact with practitioners. You must not:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or harvest data from the site
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your credentials
• Submit false or misleading information

3. Counsellor listings

Counsellors who register on Therapist Search agree that:

• All information submitted is accurate and up to date
• They hold a recognised qualification and are a member of a professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP, COSCA)
• They comply with their professional body's code of ethics
• They will maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance

Therapist Search reserves the right to remove any listing that we believe to be inaccurate, misleading, or in breach of these terms.

4. Subscription and billing

Counsellor listings are charged at £9.95 per month (or the price displayed at sign-up). Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

5. No clinical responsibility

Therapist Search is a directory only. We do not endorse, supervise, or guarantee the quality of any counsellor listed on the platform. All therapeutic relationships are formed directly between the client and the counsellor. Therapist Search accepts no liability for any harm arising from those relationships.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services (999), the Samaritans (116 123), or NHS 111 rather than using this directory.

6. Intellectual property

All content on therapistsearch.co.uk — including text, design, code, and branding — is the property of Therapist Search Ltd unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or distribute it without our written consent. Counsellors retain ownership of their own profile content and grant Therapist Search a licence to display it on the platform.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Therapist Search Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or your interaction with any counsellor found through it.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to registered counsellors by email.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
